Know who serves you. Follow what is being built. Learn your rights.
ShiftNG is a civic app for Nigerians. It brings together the public offices that serve your ward, public projects in your area, trusted news and short courses on how government works, so accountability becomes an everyday habit, not just something for election season.
What is in the app
Choose your state, local government and ward, and ShiftNG shows what concerns you.
The offices that serve you
From the Presidency and the National Assembly to your state, your local government and your ward, with who holds each office where it is known.
Public projects near you
Follow roads, schools, clinics and other public projects. Add what you see on the ground with a photo, reply to other reports, or confirm that a problem is still the case.
Trusted civic news
Accountability, politics, the economy and human rights, from established sources. Every story is checked by a person before it appears, and we mix sources on purpose so no single outlet or leaning dominates.
Short courses on your rights
Learn how government works and what you are entitled to. Passing the required courses lets you post reports, so every report has an informed person behind it.
Election information
What is being voted for in your area and when, with links to the electoral commission's own pages. See the 2027 elections or find your polling unit.
What we stand for
Non-partisan
ShiftNG is non-partisan, non-tribal and non-religious. We do not endorse or field candidates, and we take no side in any election.
Facts you can check
We point you to official sources and established outlets, and we say clearly when something comes from members of the public.
Accountable reporting
Reports come from signed-in people who have passed our courses. Anyone signed in can flag a report that breaks the rules, and moderators review it.
